In 2026, discussions about "do we use AI?" it's obsolete. AI is a runtime environment, like electricity. Every application, from ERP to CRM, has a layer of AI agents running behind the scenes. Large Language Models (LLM) have shifted to Small Action Models (SAMs) which run on edge devices, no longer solely in the cloud.

The company's algorithms will be audited live. If AI models are proven to be discriminatory or detrimental to consumers, API access will be automatically terminated by regulators.

Conclusion: Humans as Sense-Makers

Amidst the flood of automation and autonomous AI, the big question is not "Will IT replace humans?" but rather "What is the unique role of humans in 2026 and beyond?"

The answer: Sense-making and Ethical Judgment (ethical considerations). AI can process data faster, but humans (especially in the IT field) are tasked with answering the questions why a system was created, for whom, and with what risks.

Digital IT in the future is not about code speed, but about trust and responsibility. It is up to us to determine whether this technology will be a tool of oppression or liberation. In 2030, the best IT company will not be the one with the strongest AI, but the one most obeyed by its own AI.
